At Heartland we believe intentional relationships are key to sustained spiritual growth. That's why Heart Groups are such an important part of our discipleship strategy. In fact, Heart Groups are one of the most important things we do at Heartland. We believe that real life change happens best when you are sitting in a circle, looking at someone directly and doing life with them, rather than sitting in a row looking at the back of someone's head.
Heart Groups consist of approximately six married couples or 10-12 individuals that meet weekly in someone’s home for fellowship, bible study, and prayer. We have groups for men, women, married couples, and college students. Heart Groups are where we discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where we pray and care for one another.

FAQ's
HeartGroups are small groups of six to fifteen
people that meet weekly in someone’s home for fellowship, Bible study, and
prayer. They are for adults of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual
maturity.
Childcare is specific to each group. Individual groups determine their own
strategy for childcare.
Our groups generally meet throughout the week. Most groups meet in the evenings, although a few meet in the morning. Meeting times are determined by
individual groups. While most
groups meet in a consistent location (the home of a group member), some groups
prefer to take turns meeting in different members’ homes.
Groups meet on a semester basis. Each semester lasts for approximately
12 weeks. At the completion of a
semester, individuals can choose to remain in the same group for another
semester or move to another group.
Though each group differs in how they do things,
many groups have a social time in the beginning, then they transition to a time
where they discuss the information they are studying and pray for each other. At the very beginning of the group, the whole group decides how much time they
will spend on social, discussion, and prayer time (as well as the order in
which they take place).
Each group picks their own curriculum to study
with the help of Heartland’s groups Director. All curriculum is reviewed and approved by Heartland prior
to being used in a group.
